This is the card I made for the Birthday Girl whose 60th party is tonight. It is an A5 sized card and the bright pink is because she likes bright colours, although like a lot of us ladies wears black dresses.
The image is digital from Make It Crafty and was coloured with Copics. Spica pens and white gel pen were added to the boa to give it some sparkle.
This smaller card was the acceptance card for the party that I sent before Christmas
It was also a digital image, this time from LOTV and again coloured with Copics.

A little bit of creative play
One of my students celebrates his Birthday during the school holidays so here is the card I have made for him. I will give it to his Mum today, at our last session, so she can keep it until 27th. Jester is quite an appropriate image!
This card is for the JUGS301 challenge to include gold - gold pen, gold embossing and gold card. It is also for F4A281 at Splitcoast which is to use a big image - this Magenta one is wood mounted and is about 4 inches square. I worked with Inktense pencils for a change.
I am hoping next year he may have calmed down a little and lessons will be more rewarding.

This is my last hop with MFP. I joined before it was a Heinrich company so it's been a while. I am sorry to be leaving completely, as this was never my intention. The closing of the FOSTV challenge following close on the heels of my decision to step down from the senior team has led to this place. I will certainly enjoy playing with all the other stamps I have accumulated.
I have added some other cards today to liven up my final MFP post.
This is my card with today's set using some marbled paper I created some time ago.
This is my card for F4A278 using Umbrellas and Fans. I used some Birthday wrapping which I saved from March.
This card uses the Calendar set and Brushos with sketch SC545
This is my favourite card this month. I used Huge Blooms with Copics and the sketch SC545.
Here's the Design Team
Enjoy the Hop. Come on back soon to see the next chapter of my creative life!

Christmas 2015 - CCC15 Jan & Mar
I have been making Christmas cards again today for the CCC15 challenge for January and March. Thought February was trees but the theme is snowmen so these are for March!!!
My January cards use the main Nativity image from HobbyArt Stamps and a sentiment and star from Wise Men by Marks Finest Papers. The first card was done on watercolour paper and I used Gelatos to add the colour apart from the star which was stamped in Adirondack ink. The second card was done on a standard white cardstock and the colour added with Adirondack inks
My two March cards use Robin's F4A255 challenge. One uses bleach and the other salt although my salt wasn't in a good state (no dishwasher salt and lumpy sea salt). I still liked both backgrounds so used them anyway. The trees on the first card are a die from Taylored Expressions and the branch on the second card uses the Penny Black Nature Song die. Spellbinders dies were also used.
Thank you for taking the time to look.

Don't get the hump
This card featuring another fun High Hopes image is for the challenge HHC137 (May Flowers) and also for F4A118 to use Hot Pink and lastly for today's Sentimental Sundays Challenge. The card is on it's way to someone I used to work with and I think she will like it. The image is coloured with Copics markers and the sentiments are computer generated.

- WT368 focus on the sentiment
- F4A110 - Caught a bug - not sure a butterfly really counts as a bug but it is a get well card.

Superstar
I took a call on Friday from one excited young lady who wanted to share her news "I am going to be following in your footsteps". What she was really saying was that she had been accepted onto a teaching course for next year once she gets her degree. Like I did she will be training to teach 5 to 11 year old children and hopefully unlike me it will be what she does - I taught secondary school Maths! Lauren is really good with youngsters and I think she will make an excellent teacher.
I already had this High Hopes bookworm out as I was going to send her some encouragement for her studies but the bright colours and the sentiment are there because of her wonderful news.

I am entering the card for the following challenges
JUGS 123 - use buttons at the centre of your design - 2 on there!
F4A103 - Rainbows
Sentimental Sundays 89 - Shaped Card with a sentiment
Stampin Sisters in Christ 126 - Happy News
High Hopes 127 - Seeing Stars

Two Hearts Wedding
This card could be used for a Wedding and also an Anniversary. It uses the SC367 sketch, F4A100 to use two hearts or more on your project - actually the sticker behind the pearls is a row of hearts! I am also entering the card in this week's Penny Black challenge to use a bargain and CC358 because I used two shades of pink, red and a neutral.. The stamp was bought in the post Christmas sales and the stickers and pearls were bought during some closing down sales.
The image is stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with watercolour pencils. A white H2O is then used on her dress. The paper was on my scrap pile and I can't remember who makes it. Heart outline stickers where added down the left of the DP and then the adhesive pearls placed on top. The hearts are die cut with a Spellbinders die.
Thank you for stopping by.

Move the Builders Out and the Neighbours In
We will be so pleased when the builders move out and the new neighbours move in. A tremendous amount of work is being done on the semi detached property that is attached to ours ready for our new neighbours to move in - a young couple and two sweet little girls! I have made this card for them. The two little mice snuggling up under the flower made me think of "new roof over their heads" - that is one thing that has not been replaced but lots of walls are coming down and others going up so the distressing is a reminder of all the dust!
I am entering the card for
Penny Black Saturday challenge 173
Jugs 106
