Christmas Furry Friends

Well they are not all furry but they are cute critters so here are the first few of my August CCC15 cards, I know I need to do the July ones!

FOSTV156 - Easter Card

I have switched from snowmen and Christmas cards to Easter today.  Our Friends challenge over at Speedy TV is Easter Cards and we would love you to join us.

My card uses dies and the Works of Art stamp set and the sentiment from the Easter stamp set, both from MFP Stamp Shop.  Our challenge page shows the cards made by the whole team so don't forget to check it out.

Thanks for looking - have a good week.

Laura & James Wedding Day

Today is a very special day in the lives of a young couple Laura & James who cement their love for each other by getting married today.  We are privileged to be at the celebrations and to share in this happy occasion.

In keeping with the theme of the city and the colours of the wedding I made them this card.  I have used dies, my Cricut and some stamps from Marks Finest Papers.

Here are some views of my card

I have also made the name tags for the wedding reception and I will post some pictures of those tomorrow.

VLV May Week 2

Another card for VLV for May.  This one had an inspiration picture too but I have ended up with far less white in my card than intended!  Sentiment is from Verve.

Easter Doily

I cut out the doily with my Cheery Lynn die and other than add another die cut I could not bear to cover it up.  I was planning to use the MFP egg with butterfly but went in the end for a simple butterfly and the Easter sentiment.  The butterfly is from Daffodil Greetings and the sentiment is from Spring Joy.  The background paper is from Bo Bunny.
I am entering it in the Cheery Lynn challenge 70.

Thanks for looking.  Have a good week.

Mojo265 Inspired

Tried out my new Cheery Lynn die and a new Spellbinders die on this card along with the free stamps from Chocolate Baroque that came with this months Craft Stamper magazine.  A simple card but threading the embroidery silk round the die was fiddly.  Thanks for looking.

Daring Cardmakers - Let There Be Light

This is another last minute card made for the Daring Cardmakers challenge - Let There Be Light.  I have used the lamp from the recently released set by Marks Finest Papers called Poinsettia Blooms.  I chose to emboss the lamp with pewter powder, but would not do it again!  The yellow was sponged with distress ink and the rest was coloured with Copics - although the paper surface wasn't too great with them!  I used a Spellbinders die along the bottom and wove the ribbon through it for TLC401.  The sentiment is die cut with a Cheery Lynn die.  The background paper is MME.

Thanks for looking and hope your Friday goes smoothly.

Mistletoe, roses, romance and many hastles!

I hope the guy I have made this for and his wife love this card.  I had rather a troubled time making it.

I knew in my head some of the things I wanted to get onto the card but working out the design had me stumped.  I then had a few die cutting issues so improvised a little.  All was going well until I decided to print and stamp onto the pearly card.  I heat set it which made the card warp a little but once well stuck down was OK - as I completed the card and went to photograph it I noticed the printing had smudged!

At that stage I had to pull it apart and start the printing again on a plain card.  I liked the pearl but if it won't work....

The panel behind the couple in the window is stamped with a Penny Black stamp which has holly (left grey) and mistletoe on it.  The rose is a Marks Finest Papers (a Heinrich Company) image.  The colour of the leaves I am hoping matches the colour for their wedding - I saw a quick phone picture!  The dies are from Cheery Lynn.  The sentiment is computer generated and the corner punching and bling finish it off.

I am entering this into Sentimental Sundays challenge too - I hope off-white is OK!

Thanks for looking.
