This "vintage card" was given last night to the "wine man" Dennis and his wife. It was a quick card using a Woodware Stamp for the background and a MFP stamp on the foreground panel. I wanted to use lace on the card but as it was for a guy went for sparkly ribbon in neutral colours. I have had the Woodware stamp a while but have only used it a few times so decided to pull it put and show it some ink.
I am entering this card in the following challenges
Sketch N Stash 128
Our Creative Corner
Sentimental Sundays 128 ( I hope background sentiments count)

FOSTV64 - Something that Moves
Another Monday and another FOSTV challenge. This was a major challenge in my head and yet when I eventually worked out what I was going to do it came together quite quickly apart from the cutting out of the butterflies!
Our challenge this week is Something that Moves. We all interpreted this task as a card with something moving as part of it so I did a little spinning butterfly. I thought about swivel cards, pop up cards etc. but I ended up with something more simple. My shape and colour scheme come from this week's OCC challenge (Analogous Colours and 4 sided regular polygon) and I used Distress Inks plus some bleach.
The MFP sets I used are Ivy and Blossoms, the sentiment from Dogwood Blossoms and the butterfly which is in a few sets Birthday Mini, Old Summer and Today, Tomorrow and Always.
I actually recorded a little video clip to show it moves, but I can't upload it so you will just have to believe me!
Please check out the challenge at FOSTV and the cards from my colleagues. Once you have done that please show us your moving cards and link them up for your chance to win the MFP set called I'm in Stitches.

All in White
This card using the VLVJan2013 week 4 sketch is also for this week's OCC challenge which is to use all white and add an edge. The only element that does not have to be white is the sentiment and that was stamped in purple Stazon as you can see in this detailed shot below. What you cannot see in the photo is that the shaped panel is stamped with white swirls but I think that is due to the sheen of the card stock. All the panels were cut with Spellbinders dies and the edge was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. The ribbons and gems were from my stash.

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to the first blog hop of 2013! We are so excited to share the great stamp sets we are releasing this month and the months to come.
I made two cards with the stamp set for today.
The first one is in my best shabby chic style (I am not good at shabby chic) and is for the OCC challenge as well as today's hop. I used a sketch from Bo Bunny (21st June) that I just came across adding lace, pearls, distressing and ribbon.
My second card uses the rose from the set coloured with Copics and a sketch from Craft's Meow Blog for January. I used a Spellbinders die with the image and then layered it onto a doily.
The special stamp set we have for you this month is:
" OH Baby"
The mini stamp set we have for you this month is
"Not So Ugly"
Next on the hop is TammyLee

Welcome Hope
Hope - what a beautiful name for a baby born at this time of year, in fact any time of year. This card is for Hope's family - Mum, Dad and brothers and sisters. I have used the sketch VLVJan2013 Week2, with this week's OCC colours and I am also entering this in this week's Twist of Faith challenge. The stamps are from Verve, old ones but still very cute.
Thank you for looking - hope you are having a great 1st weekend of 2013.

OCC Winter Blessings
If you are looking for the MFP Blog Hop please skip down to the post below - Happy Hopping!
The challenge at Our Creative Corner is Silver and Purple Christmas this week. I used alcohol inks, Spellbinders dies, my Cricut, some ribbon, some gems and a sentiment from Marks Finest Papers on this card. It has been hand delivered today. You cannot see the lovely alcohol ink effect so well in this photo but it is quite pretty in real life.
Thank you so much for looking, and even more for leaving a sweet comment.

Waltzing Silhouette
I made this card using the Waltzingmouse Sketch and the OCC challenge to use a silhouette. I have used a combination of Tim Holtz stamps and Waltzingmouse ones. An EK success border punch was used on the red paper behind the pearlescent white strip. The snowman was stamped on black and then embossed with white embossing powder.
Another Christmas card towards my November set.

Thank you for dropping in - enjoy the rest of the weekend, if you can.

Fall in a round
I love fall, or should I say autumn colours and I have to say the more I look the more colours I see.
Beate Johns recently created a tutorial over at Splitcoast for a Twisted Circular Easel Card so that is the design I chose for this one today. My hands are multi-coloured now but it was quite fun with all those distress inks - nothing like Beate's clean design!
I used the tree from MFP Tree Selections, the maple leaf stamp from MFP Scenic Selections and the sentiment from MFP Daffodil Greetings. The circles were all cut with dies and the sentiment was cut with Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles. The leaves were cut with one of my original Spellbinders dies. Ribbon and fibres from my messy stash. The border inside was punched with an EK Success wide border punch.
I am entering this card for the following challenges
Stampin Sisters in Christ 161 - use a tree
Jugs 158 - emboss resist technique used with maple leaf stamp
OCC - Fall in the Circle
The distress inks I used were
Wild Honey
Spiced Marmalade
Peeled Paint
Dusty Concord
Aged Mahogany
Thank you for checking out my card - I really do appreciate your comments.

Worship the King
Our Creative Corner challenge used a picture of the Queen Mother as the inspiration picture with the requirements to use a crown and have something yellow or gold embossed. My original thought process was to use a Hero Arts London Collage stamp with a small picture of the Queen but then as I need Christmas cards (CCC12) my thoughts went to my digital images and the real king so this is where this card comes from - a long way from the picture - sorry!
I used the Jugs 157 sketch. I have used both gold embossing (on the background, star and the crowns) and yellow (on the ground and straw).
Thanks for looking

CCC12 July - Marathon
Sorry but this is one large collection - all 12 of my July Christmas cards for CCC12. Some of them are also for other challenges so I will add the challenges to each photo. None of the cards are fancy but I left it too late this month. I have used dies, punches, alcohol inks and all sorts of stamps on this bunch.

Magic 10
I left work early yesterday to see the Osteopath so when I went in to work this morning I found an email asking if I could help with a card for a Nephew's Birthday this weekend. Well that meant one thing - get home and get cracking!
I was given the theme of Magic for 10 year old John.
I knew I had rabbits but didn't think I had a top hat so I therefore turned to digital images and found the top hat and rabbits I have used on this card.
I used the cut outs from the fancy circle used on yesterday's card that had not been binned and added confetti stars. I used the letters of the name plus his age as items popping out of the hat. I then added more stars and stickle streamers! This card is being entered into this week's OCC 10 challenge
Yes it has ended up quite busy, but as it is for a boy of 10 I didn't want it to be boring.
Only one day until the weekend so smile through it and enjoy the weekend - I hope you get a little magic!

Two More Christmas Cards
This post is Christmas related - sorry I know we are only just seeing the sunshine. My cards will be for my CCC12 commitment for June but are also for other challenges.
The first card is for the Sentimental Sundays and High Hopes challenges. Sentimental Sundays is a sketch with Spots and High Hopes this week is Anything Goes. The image is High Hopes, the sentiment is from Tim Holtz and the papers are from Papermania.

My second card is for today's OCC challenge to use your favourite Tim Holtz technique. Well I can't say this is my favourite technique because today was the first time I tried it but I saw Tim on a video showing his reflections stamps and I had to get them. I found out how to use them with embossing folders so that is what I did on this card. The embossing folder is from Cuttlebug and I used the Seasonal Reflections Christmas sentiment stamped in Archival black. The sponging was done with Bundled Sage Distress ink and the berries were coloured with a marker.

Wet Jubilee
It has been a very wet day for the Queens Jubilee Parade and for all the street parties. We have our flag on display but never made it to any events and will catch up with it on the TV. Instead I had some crafting time and came up with a card for this week's Penny Black and OCC challenges based on one of Kath's cards. The image is from Penny Black and I used distress inks. The horizontal strip is stamped with an Anita's stamp.
I also mounted an image I did on the Scenic Layouts class on another card base - this card uses MFP and Stampscapes images.
Thank you for stopping by to look and comment. Have a good week.

Spring Bonnet in Paris
This week's OCC challenge is to make a card using elements you would find on an Easter Bonnet - flowers, pearl, ribbon and lace all feature on this card which focuses around a Patisserie in Paris - what a great place to show off your latest style! It is going to France but as a belated card for a friend who now lives there - she worked at the same place as me and helped me when I first started computing 26 years ago.
Thank you for looking and Happy Easter

The stamps used are Tim Holtz - main image, Verve sentiment, Waltzingmouse doily images on the pink paper strip.
I am entering it for the following challenges
Stampin Sisters in Christ - something with wings
Our Creative Corner - inspiration from the song Songbird (sung by Lauren Payne - she was in her teens she had it recorded by a teacher at school and I would love to post it here but sadly cannot)
Sentimental Sundays - encouraging words for someone just about to embark on a show as part of her finals in Music and Drama- yes Lauren Payne again!
