I don't always remember people's wedding anniversaries but I do my best with close friends and family as I personally feel it is important to celebrate a good marriage. As well as anniversaries today I will be thinking about those with troubled marriages and pray for reconciliation.
As you may have gathered for my little introduction this week at Friends of Speedy TV our theme is to make an Anniversary Card. Please do join in the challenge - you can find it here.
My card uses the dogs from the Firefighter set and the sentiment is from Love Love Love. The heart was cut with a Spellbinders die.
Thanks for looking, leaving some love and playing along with our challenge.

FOSTV83 - CAS
Today's challenge at Friends of Speedy TV is to make a CAS card - Clean and Simple. Now occasionally I find this easy but this one was a challenge.
I wanted to make a card for Dave for our Anniversary (yesterday) and I was trying to capture "our song" "You're in my heart" by Rod Stewart. All I managed was the YOU firmly printed on the heart from the Love, Love, Love stamp set. I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles and a simple piece of blue ribbon (blue for his football team) fastened into a masculine brad. The card base was embossed with a Spellbinders folder. I used the VLVJul2013 Week 2 sketch.
The chorus of the song for those of you who don't know it goes like this
Still appropriate after 34 years of marriage! We took a trip to Littlehampton, walked by the sea, got sprinkled with rain a couple of times and had romantic fish and chips out of the paper sitting on a bench looking out over the river.
The inside of the card uses another set (Ivy and Blossoms) and looks like this
Wishing you all a very simple but special week. Hope you get to play the FOSTV challenge - challenge 83 from this page.

FOSTV 58 - Valentines
OK our challenge this week at Friends of Speedy TV is a Valentines card or project. I am not sure we send quite as many valentine cards in the UK as they send "across the pond" but you could always try to bring a smile to someone's face and keep them guessing, even if you don't normally send them.
This one is very romantic in style with all the hearts but I like it so I am sharing it with you today.
My image from Love, Love, Love was stamped in black Memento ink and coloured with Copics. All the hearts were die cut. I should have added a sentiment but completely forgot - ooops!
Check out Speedy TV for all the Mark's Finest Papers challenges. You need to post your entries under the FOSTV58 challenge when it goes up. We would love to see what you create and you stand the chance of winning a MFP set called A Trip To Lancaster.

Have fun with your Valentine cards!

Happy New Year!!! Welcome to the first blog hop of 2013! We are so excited to share the great stamp sets we are releasing this month and the months to come.
I made two cards with the stamp set for today.
The first one is in my best shabby chic style (I am not good at shabby chic) and is for the OCC challenge as well as today's hop. I used a sketch from Bo Bunny (21st June) that I just came across adding lace, pearls, distressing and ribbon.
My second card uses the rose from the set coloured with Copics and a sketch from Craft's Meow Blog for January. I used a Spellbinders die with the image and then layered it onto a doily.
The special stamp set we have for you this month is:
" OH Baby"
The mini stamp set we have for you this month is
"Not So Ugly"
Next on the hop is TammyLee
