To encourage you all to enter this week's FOSTV challenge of making a bookmark I made a quick and simple Corner Bookmark - it just needs a 4" square and a 2 3/4" square plus your stamped image - Beate has a tutorial on Splitcoast.
I have used the MFP sets Be Wild and Free and Amaryllis Definition. An elephant never forgets and with a bright bookmark it is easy to remember your page!
Please do join our challenge which can be found here
Have fun!

Inchie Christmas - CCC13 for May
I pulled out my Christmas inchies from Inkadinkado this month to give them an airing and used them for my CCC13 collection for May.
I needed them to be straightforward as I still seem to be busy and with MFP blog hop on the horizon I have lots of cards to do for that too.
I also plan to make another bookmark for this week's FOSTV challenge - please do join in that one.
I made two sets each with 7 cards.
The first set are 4" cards (top photo - 3 are at the back) and the others are 5" (next two photos)
I took a couple of closer photos and here they are

VLV May Week 4
Sorry if you have felt bombarded with posts today but I wanted to get all my May VLV cards posted in time to meet the challenge deadline.
Another anniversary card for week 4. I used a Gina K stamp with some 2nd generation ink and a perfect pearls mist to make the background which I then embossed with a Spellbinder m-bossabilities folder. The sentiment is from Verve.
Thanks for looking - enjoy the rest of the week.

VLV May Week 3
This is my 3rd card for VLV for May. I made this one for my Mum to give to my sister and her husband on their Anniversary which is today.
VLV May Week 2
Another card for VLV for May. This one had an inspiration picture too but I have ended up with far less white in my card than intended! Sentiment is from Verve.
VLV May Week1
This card using the first week of May sketch for VLV uses a much loved Verve sentiment with one of the stars - both been in my collection quite a while. Papers are digital ones.

FOSTV74 - Bookmark
The FOSTV challenge this week is to make a bookmark. I gave my bookmark 2 sides using the recently launched Marsh Birds on one side and No Sour Grapes and the books from In My Den on the other.
Apologies that my photos are small but as I have already given it away I cannot do anything about it. We would love as many people as possible to play along with our challenges so please join us - you can use any stamps you like and you will find the challenge on this page at Speedy TV - challenge number 74.

Joseph's Coat - Speedy Fox and Friends
Marks Finest Papers has lots of challenges and as team members we concentrate so much on our own projects we rarely seem to find time to play along with challenges being organised by the other teams.
However, today is different and I am playing along with the Speedy Fox and Friends Joseph's Coat technique. There are two people responsible for this - one is Angie who I regularly have lovely email exchanges with and with whom I was discussing this technique this past week. The other is Debbie our leader who posted a tutorial on her blog this week about this technique.
The card uses a multi coloured inkpad with some extra colour sponged on at the edges. I used the MFP set called Oh Beans for my technique and then used the Cricut Suburbia cartridge for my cups. It is a very simple card but when you have created a nice big background you don't want to cover it up!
I tried a larger size cup in some pink paper I had on hand to check proportion and decided it was too big and obscured too much background - that became the gift tag! I then cut a smaller cup in blue but had fun squeezing in the message. The glossy paper I used was not really good enough as the black ink didn't take too well in some places - I think it might have been photographic paper so next time I won't just grab the nearest scrap to work with!
Hope you are having a great long weekend.

Happy Birthday Jules!
Today is a very special Birthday for a friend of ours and her sister is also celebrating 20 years of marriage. It is a busy year because their daughter gets married in August.
Our friends are over here from Minnesota to catch up with family and particularly spend time with their other daughter who is one half term from teaching this coming week. Our plan is to see them on Wednesday to go for a lovely walk but the weather does not look as though it is going to cooperate. Perhaps we might have to have a pub lunch instead!
I used my Cricut and the Suburbia cartridge to make this card which I think will make her smile. The sentiment is from MFP. The paper is from the mini deck Cosmo Cricket Material Girl which is available at the MFP store. The ribbon was from my stash but reminds me of kitchen tablecloths. The images are of a bygone period but I have made no mention of age as that is far too inappropriate!
I hope you have something to celebrate or at least smile about this weekend.

The wedding anniversary season is upon us, well it is for me anyway, so here is another anniversary card for one coming up this weekend. I have used several dies and my colours are this week's JUGS colours.
Thank you for looking.

Cat and Dog day
Hi everyone hope you are safe and well.
The Less is More challenge is to make cards with the theme Dog or Cat. I am a doggy person but I need a card for someone who loves cats - so the answer make one of each!
I chose a High Hopes image for the dog card so I can enter it into the High Hopes CAS challenge. I coloured with Prismacolor Pencils.
I used a Jane Gill Woodware cat and paper pieced him with a "ginger" scrap from my paper trays.

Friday Sketch 43
Friday Sketch Challenge from 10th May had a lovely hexagon in the centre and I decided I wanted to play along and use my Spellbinders Hexagon dies. I actually didn't use them in the end because the image I wanted to use would not fit a hexagon!
My husband chose this stamp set and I love it - great for the girlie cards - this is its first outing. The stamp is from Crafty Individuals and is called Lifes a beach.
I coloured the image with Copics and use another Spellbinders die for cutting it out. I drew round the die for the black layer. Thanks for checking this out.

FOSTV 73 - Card for a Child
Sorry to be late posting today. It is getting on for midday here in the UK and I just remembered in the middle of my Maths preparation for tomorrow's GCSE revision session for my nephew and his friend that I had not done my blog post!
Well better late than never, I hope, here is my card using one of last week's releases Space Fun. It is a very simple card but how many children take notice of the card - they are more interested in the money inside or the gift! Mind you most parents appreciate the time and trouble you have gone to.
The challenge this week could not be easier so please do join in - all you have to do is make a card for a child and add it in to the challenge post (It will be Challenge 73 on this page ).
You can use any stamps you would like but if you use Marks Finest Papers stamps you double your chance of winning the prize which is a cute set called Zoo Friends.
Thanks for dropping in and please don't forget to enjoy our challenge this week. We would love to see your creation.

Today we have another fun set to share with you, the last set of this month's hop and I have two cards to show you. My first card is a folded card (my first one of these) and I hope to use it to give a gift of cinema tickets - you can see how I have mocked it up in the second photo. I layered up the image - very fiddly but I think it was worth it - the popcorn is raised up the most.
This one uses the film strip from this set and ducks from the set called Oh Baby. Having made it I decided it reminded me of the duck shooting game at the fun-fair - I hope this idea doesn't attach itself to the card when it is given!!!
If you are hopping please go to AnJenic next.
Please hop along with us! You have a chance to win one of the above stamp sets! Just comment on the following blogs (don't forget this one), each day for more chances to win! (You do NOT have to comment on all the blogs each day! The names are drawn randomly!) All four winners will be announced on May 18,2013 on the Mark's Finest Papers blog. You can go back and comment if you missed a day. (HINT: The more you comment, the more chances you have to win and comments on the MFP blog count twice!) The deadline for commenting is 11PM EST on Friday May 17,2013.

Less is More - Single Layer Coloured Card
The Less is More challenge this week is to produce a single layer card using coloured card.
My first card uses navy card stock and a flower image from Penny Black, which was stamped in white and embellished with some Prismacolor pencils and a white pen. This one is also being entered into Penny Black Saturday Challenge for May.
My second card uses a soft green card and I stamped in a dark purple from Memento. The image is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse.
Thanks for looking - have a great weekend.

This is a cute set and a very topical one with the astronaut Chris Hadfield coming back down to earth and all the news of his facebook, photos from space, singing David Bowie songs etc.
I have 3 cards to share with you today, one of which is also on the MFP site. All of them are pretty straightforward so need little explanation. Once you have checked these out beam over to AnJenic to see her creations. Please don't forget our FOSTV challenge this week - we would love you to play along with our "Inspired by something in your home" challenge.

I used to love camping when I was a girl guide but these days I like my creature comforts! The closest thing I will get to camping this year is staying in a log cabin in Oregon and I will take plenty of bug repellent as they find me "sweet meat".
I have made two cards with today's set and I know the destination for one of these - this first one - a twisted easel card where I also used the cabin from the set On The Fly.
The second card uses some die cut cardboard packaging rubbed with some distress inks and some added "mud" on my centre strip. This one I will just add to my box for now. Now please hop on to see whether AnJenic is a happy camper.

I have made a couple of cards with the images from this set but have another idea for an up and coming FOSTV challenge
- you will have to come back then and you could also play along with us too!
I think I have kept it balanced today - one feminine card using one of the Spellbinders Edgeabilities in a new way for me and one more masculine. Don't forget to check out all my team mates posts and if you started at the beginning of the hop An'Jenic is your next stop.
