A few views of the little Easter gift I made with this set.  I need to buy more eggs to go in or find something to pad out the bottom.  The rough details of the basket are given at the very bottom of this post.

Here too is a very girly card I made with the bunny and some pink papers

VLVFeb2014 - Week 4

This is another one of my March Christmas cards and thanks to my Mum it fits the CCC14 March challenge of recycling.  Mum dutifully collected buttons over the years and recently I raided her box and pulled some out for cards.  Some have also gone to a Primary School for their craft projects.

The sketch for this challenge is from VLVFeb2014 Week 4.  This one was quite a challenge for me and took more thinking than making.

My card uses Verve stamps, some of Mum's buttons and some embroidery silk through the button holes.  White and a metallic blue embossing powder were used.

Thanks for looking.

FOSTV114 - New Home

This week's challenge at FOSTV is to make a new home card.  I knew I wanted to use the little mice from the Yikes a Mouse set but what to use as a "home"
I used stamps from Welcome Poppies and Buffalo Spring to create my cornfield as their little home. The sentiment is from Primitive Farm.

On the inside I created a show of poppies with the little butterfly from Spring Things.

The prize for participants this week is the New Year set which looks like this

You can find details of the challenge via this page - it is challenge 114 and we would love you to play along with us.

I hope you keep safe and warm in your home this week.

Beary Simple

The High Hopes challenge introduced on Tuesday was to include an animal on your card so I went with the skiing bear after all the Winter Olympics inspiration.  This is the first of my March Christmas cards for CCC14 but without the recycled theme.  A simple card but quite fun none the less.

The image is from High Hopes and I believe the sentiment is from Kraftin Kimmie.

VLVFeb2014 Week 3 Sketch, Inspiration and Prickley Pear

Today I have another VLV February sketch to share with you.  This one is the sketch and inspiration one which I have turned into an Easter card.

The stamps and most of the dies are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and are from a prize I won recently on their blog.  Such a generous prize which I am thrilled to own.

Thanks for looking
