Card 2 again showing the various layers.  I used "Be Wild and Free" and "Mountain Selections" as well as the new "Tigers" set on this card.  I used Distress Inks, Memento Inks and Prismacolor pencils on this.

FOSTV98 - Torn Paper

This week's challenge at Friends of Speedy TV is to make a card or other project using torn paper.  I added another to my Christmas card collection. I used Distress Inks and the "Just a Note" set on the background torn piece.  The lamp and sentiment are from the set called "Poinsettia Blooms".
The die for my fern is from Impression Obsession and I tucked it under my lamp.  Please check out the challenge over at FOSTV and join us this week.

Thanks for popping in today - please come back the rest of the week as it is Blog Hop week.  For a look at the 5th set and the mini released this month please see the post below.

Calendar

I used the Calendar set for a Birthday card but at some stage I want to bind myself a little calendar so when I have the time I will pull this stamp set out again.

The mini stamp set we have for you this month is:

Mini New Year

I used the new year mini for a simple oriental New Year card.  I used the VLV November Week 1 sketch.  You have to look really closely to see the Yin and Yang embossed in silver on the banners.

Thanks for looking and please come back tomorrow when the blog hop starts in earnest.

Big Change

Some very good friends have just made a big change in their lives.  They sold their house in MN and drove across country, much of the drive on Route 66 to take possession of a house in San Diego.  The house needs a lot of work - roof, electrical work and plumbing and at the moment it is chaotic and she aches from head to toe with all the sorting out etc. etc.  It will be great when it is sorted and the sun is shining and I know they will love not having to spend the winter shovelling snow.

I made this card originally to get to them in their first week but that is up today and it only made the mail in the UK this morning!  The card is a flip or swing style card.

The houses and the snowflakes on this first side are stamped with stamps from Chocolate Baroque.  The MN was stamped using Just Rite stamps.

The houses are stamped with stamps from Chocolate Baroque and the sun and sentiment are from Verve.  The CA was stamped using Just Rite stamps.

I hope they like this card and will be happy in their new home, and that we get to visit one day!

FOSTV97 - Sympathy Cards

Sorry for the lateness of this post.  Been engrossed in Maths preparation for my lessons this week and now that I stopped for lunch I realised I had neglected to do my post.

This week our challenge at FOSTV is to make a Sympathy Card.  It is a card we all need but one that can be tricky to produce at the last minute so please join us this week and then you will have one ready for when you need it.

There is a prize on offer of the pretty Dragonflies set for one lucky participant and you can increase your winning chances by using MFP stamps.

My card today uses some simple die cut foliage with the pretty set from Marks Finest Papers called Dogwood Blossoms.   I hope you like my card and join in our challenge this week.  Have fun!

High Hopes Challenge 192 - Its Snowing!

Thankfully it isn't snowing here yet although I know some people have had their first snow of the winter already.  Creating snowmen on card with added glitter in a cosy room is preferable to making one with the real stuff - well most days anyway!

This card is for Tuesday's High Hopes Challenge - they have some adorable snowmen in their collection and this is one of mine which I love - decided to give a feminine twist to this one.

The image is coloured with Copics and the background was sponged with Salty Ocean Distress Ink.  The snowflakes were cut with some punches and some glitter glue added.

I hope you like it as much as me.

Have a great weekend whether you get sun, rain or snow.

12 Days of Christmas - Tube Tag Book

Welcome to MFP 12 Days of Christmas Challenge!  I hope you have been playing along as today is Day 12.

Each day there will be a new project featured. You will see samples on the MFP Blog and a full tutorial on MFPSpeedyTV!

There are daily prizes and a whopping great prize for one person who completes all the challenges. What is the Grand Prize? $350 worth of the current stamp sets from Mark’s Finest Papers a Heinrich Co! That’s 20 large stamp sets of the winner’s CHOICE! Just in time for the holidays! So start stamping!

Today’s Challenge is a tube tag album.  This is my first time of making one of these and at the moment my tags are blank as I do not know what I intend to do with it.

I didn't have the photographic skills of some of my friends on the team - capturing the whole book in one shot so I have 3 photos for you to check out.
