FOSTV101 - Anything but a Card

Hello - Happy Advent to you and welcome to my blog post for FOSTV101.  I hope this busy time of year doesn't leave you feeling stressed and you are able to look forward to Christmas like the young ones do.

The challenge this time around is anything but a card.  When the calendar stamp set was launched I promised I would make a calendar with it and today this is what I am sharing.  I have shared January on the FOSTV page so I am showing the remaining months here.  I have used a variety of images and made the pictures appropriate to the UK so I have added captions in case the picture does not make sense to you.

Valentine

St Patrick

Showers

Flowers

Wimbledon Tennis - Strawberries

Summer BBQs

Seaside Trips

Leaves and Acorns

Halloween

Advent & Christmas

Thank you for looking.  Hope the week and any card writing / present buying / Christmas cooking go well for you.

The lorry came on Thursday to collect the Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes for Azerbaijan and I think we will be finishing off the remaining shoe box checking this week.

Be Thankful (wherever in the world you live)

With thanks to Paper Angel for the images.

FOSTV100 - Anything Goes

This week at Friends of Speedy TV we are allowing the creative juices to flow as the challenge (Challenge 100) is anything goes.  I decided to use the opportunity to make an old folder look better.  It now co-ordinates with a notebook I did some time back - check this post to see the notebook.  On this folder I stamped all manner of encouraging sentiments and images from various MFP sets onto the punched flowers.

The prize set for one lucky participant this week is great for Birthdays.  It is called Celebrate Mini

I hope you join in the challenge and have a great week.

We meet Oscar

At the end of 2011 Mum had surgery and we looked after her dog Tess for many months, rather than the 6 weeks originally planned.  As we had a holiday booked Russ and Sue came to our aid and took Tess into their Brighton home.  Tess loved her holiday and the family liked having a dog in the house so this summer Oscar arrived.

Last Saturday we took Tess and went to meet Oscar.  We had a lovely drive, delicious lunch and a great walk with the dogs in the autumn countryside.  Tess and Oscar got on well and Tess slept like a baby when we got her back to Mum's.

I sent a card this week and used the VLVNov Week2 sketch.  The puppy image is Inkadinkado and the words are from PaperArtsy and Elzybells.

Thanks for looking and enjoy your Sunday.

Mark’s Finest Papers Christmas Blog Hop - Ornament Ball

Welcome to the Mark’s Finest Papers a Heinrich Co. Christmas/Holiday Blog Hop. We have some great tutorials for you to make some fun and easy projects for this Holiday Season. We will be giving away two stamps sets during this hop, so two lucky people will go home with both of these fabulous stamp sets. Be sure to comment on all the designers’ blogs. Our hop will run from November 19-22 . Our two winners will be announced on November 23, 2013.

November 19th - Christmas Crackers

November 20th - Paper Ball Ornaments

November 21st - Countdown Calendar

November 22nd - Pine Cone Frames

Here is a direct link to today's tutorial, 3D Ornament Ball.

I was really worried about getting this ball right but I am pleased with the outcome and just need to find somewhere appropriate to hang it for Christmas.  Adding the sparkly nailvarnish was a great idea but I learned quite quickly to apply it carefully over my images to stop them smudging.

Be sure to check out all of our designers who participated in our hop. The more you comment the more chances you have to win one of these great stamp set give aways!
