My cards today are simple but hopefully nice enough to inspire you.
On the first one I stamped and embossed the two balloons and then coloured with Copics. I sponged the sky and then stamped the sentiments. This has already hit the mail!
My second card features our local lavender field. I don't think I would ever see a hot air balloon over the field though as we are quite near both Gatwick and Heathrow flight paths - with the fragrance of lavender filling my head can dream though !
I used a photo I had taken and then printed it out on some plain card. I chose balloon colours to go with the rows of lavender and grass between. Three varieties of lavender are grown there at
Mayfield Lavender each summer and children are encouraged to collect the beetles that destroy the crop in jam jars!
Both cards are beautiful; I especially LOVE the second card with the scene you created.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards. Love the second one with the die cut border.
ReplyDeleteThese are great Janine!! I love the two balloons (especially the one on the left) and how you arranged them, but your second card is totally fabulous! Wow! Hugz!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are so nice, Janine -- but you hit a home run with that second one. I love how you incorporated the balloon into a photo!!!
