Christmas in July - CCC14

My friend Angie posted the challenge for July's CCC14 so I was determined to get them done.  31st of the month and I have made 14 more cards for July - using stars as my theme. 

The first 4 are showing Santa above the roof tops in a starry sky.

 

 

The next ones all show the manger scene with the star shining above 

The last 4 show the wise men seeking the king to worship.  They are guided by the star.  Stamps here are from Marks Finest Papers.

I used the MFP stamp sets Snowflakes and Holiday Tag on my container.  I have shown a small pack of shortbread biscuits - they don't last long in this house!  Obviously for Christmas the pack would be bigger or two packs of fresh shortbread would be included.

FOSTV135 - Lace and Pearls

Our challenge for this new week at FOSTV is to make a project involving lace and pearls.  I made this gift box which was used to hold some details about a holiday - I was asked to make it after I made a box for my sister's birthday.  I used the set called Dogwood Blossoms.

Lace and pearls is actually very apt today.  We are celebrating our Wedding Anniversary.  You can probably tell by the photo that it was a good few years ago - 35 very happy years!

FOSTV134 - Shaped Card

Hello - the FOSTV challenge this week is to make a shaped card - not a rectangular or square card something a little different.

I started with this card using a Spellbinders die, some white card and some paper that I embossed.  The image is from Please Snow.
 

 

I then decided to make a second Christmas card using the CCC14 theme for July - 1 down and 11 to go!  This is it using a Spellbinders die and some freehand cutting.  This time I have used the Santa face from the Holiday Tag set.

Both these cards were made whilst away using stencils and shapes brought with me.  The card bases were ordered to be there for my arrival and before I knew the sets.  I may have chosen white for the 2nd one but hey it is different!

Today's sets are right up my street.  I love colouring flowers and cards with flowers are ones I am able to use.  No fancy sentiments just nice and clean with some die cut shapes.  The first 4 cards were made whilst on vacation and I even used a little wire mesh on the red rose one donated by my friend Jules. 

The blue rose was made when I got home - for our anniversary later in the month.  It is actually a richer blue than in the photo.  All the colouring was done with Prismacolor pencils and Zest.
