The CCC14 challenge for August is to use torn paper on your cards. Not great with torn edges BUT I did make snow drifts and rough ground to come up with these cards. The backgrounds are sponged with various inks and all the stamps are from Marks Finest Papers. The cute snowman is from a recently released set called Brrrr and the wise men are from the mini set called Wise Men.
These cards were all made yesterday on our lovely wet, and I mean wet, UK bank holiday.

Christmas in July - CCC14
My friend Angie posted the challenge for July's CCC14 so I was determined to get them done. 31st of the month and I have made 14 more cards for July - using stars as my theme.
The first 4 are showing Santa above the roof tops in a starry sky.
Need to check out the August challenge now. Hope you are having a great week.

The next ones all show the manger scene with the star shining above
The last 4 show the wise men seeking the king to worship. They are guided by the star. Stamps here are from Marks Finest Papers.

FOSTV 103 - Christmas Cards
Hello - sorry to be so late posting today - my day has run away from me. I have just got home from tutoring and actually feel like going to sleep and it is only 8pm! Anyway you didn't come here to read about my day but to see my FOSTV103 card.
This week's challenge is to make a Christmas Card and I actually have two to share with you. I made one for the challenge and then decided I wanted to try and be a bit more creative - hence my second card.
I combined 3 Marks Finest Papers sets to make this card Fabulous Dogs, Fantastic Dogs and Joyous Season. I used gilding flakes on each ornament.
Thank you for looking and have a great week.

This first card uses the Wise Men set with some gold embossing powder on the star.

FOSTV94 - Tags and Banners
I made two cards for Christmas for this challenge - one has a tag and uses VLVOctWeek1 sketch and the other card features a banner.
This first card with the banner uses the sets Tailgate Party for the banner and the snowman from Snow Gifts. I used Copics for colouring and plenty of glitter.
My second card uses Wise Men the mini set you get free if you buy the 4 main new sets released this month. You can check out the offer here. The snowflake was cut from fancy vellum using a Spellbinders die. Scattered Straw distress ink was used round the edges of most layers. This one uses the VLV October week 1 sketch.
Thank you for coming over. Please check out the projects my friends in the team have posted too. Have a great week.

Marks Finest Papers October Blog Hop Starts Tomorrow - Wise Men
Oct. Blog Hop Starts Tomorrow!
This month's New Stamp Set Releases are
Featured Oct 8 - I Am Thankful
Featured Oct 9 - Pandas
Featured Oct 10 - Huge Blooms
Featured Oct 11 - Fall Apples
The special stamp set we have for you this month is:
Works of Art
Wise Men
I have 4 cards to show you with this set. 3 are very simple - all embossed with gold and just mounted differently. The textured cardstock was a bad idea with embossing powder.
My last card was done with Gelatos and I think this is more how I might use this set again.
