I don't agree with all the evil side of the Halloween festival but it is half term here in the UK and lots of little ones are having fun dressing up and collecting some goodies from the neighbours. I decided just to buy some small chocolate items and give them out.
The pumpkins were made using my Cricut. The green liquid is an old cooking oil bottle not rinsed with some dye ink and water in it.
This is my porch with my pumpkins to let them know I am OK with them knocking. Some Mums are even dressed up too and fortunately it is not raining just now.
God bless you all and keep you safe - tomorrow is All Saints Day.

Kraftin Kimmie Krismas
Sorry for the title - feeling a bit mad right now!
I followed Kraftin Kimmie when I first started card making and I still pop over to her blog to see what is happening in her world. I noticed the sketch challenge she had posted on her stamp company blog last Saturday and decided I wanted to play.
Here is my card using the cute little Kraftin Kimmie shepherd with some papers and a chipboard sentiment that came free with a magazine. The button was picked for my Mum's button box (I pulled out quite a few different ones - mostly quite old and some a little brittle!)
Thanks for looking in today.

VLVOct2013 Week5
Hi this is another catch up Christmas card using this months VLV sketches. The sketch for week 5 was an interesting one and I started with Poinsettias but my images were far too big for the circles so I used snowflakes and changed my design completely. I used the stamp sets from Verve called Christmas is in the Air and a small one called Frosty Flakes. The sentiment is from another company but I can't remember who.
I used an embossing folder on the background paper that I have had in my collection for ages. The ink colours are Memento Paris Dusk and Teal Zeal. All the snowflakes were embossed with a clear glittery powder - most of which blew all over me! Some Mermaid Stickles has been added to the centres of the teal snowflakes. Thanks once again for checking my cards out.
VLVOct2013 Week 4
I am trying to catch up on some Christmas Cards. I have been making odd ones for MFP challenges but I have not kept up with my 13 a month for CCC13. I therefore decided to use the last two VLV sketches for October for Christmas cards.
My week 4 ones sticks very closely to the sketch and uses Verve Holly Jolly ornament stamps with a sentiment from Verve Glad Tidings. There are 4 red gems on the card but none of them sparkle here and number 4 fades into the paper!

FOSTV96 - Halloween
This week we are celebrating Halloween at Friends of Speedy TV. The stamp set one person will win is called Halloween Selections. Please check out the challenge here at Speedy TV
I tried to make a cute card as I don't really agree with celebrating all the evil and dark side of the occasion. I used VLVSketch3 for October which you can find here
The first photo shows the outside of my card and the second one shows the inside.
The images are from the MFP Stamp sets called
I'm Going Batty and What a Scream
Thanks for looking and keep safe this week.

High Hopes Embossing Challenge
The High Hopes challenge this week is to use embossing. Scooter Santa is embossed with clear powder and the snow is embossed with some strange puffy glittery EP which is very hit and miss! The holly is also embossed with some red and green sparkly powders. The background panel was dry embossed with an embossing folder - Santa has a long way to travel!
Thanks for checking out my card and thanks to High Hopes for this stamp - I won it recently and I think it is really cute - don't you?

FOSTV95 - Fall / Harvest
I love the autumn when you get crisp dry days and the colours are fully on show. Sadly at the moment we are getting quite a lot of rain and yesterday's walk with Mum's dog Tess was a complete washout. 10 minutes into the walk "the heavens opened" and we had pouring rain, thunder, lightning and then a hail storm. The two of us and Tess arrived back at Mum's house like drowned rats. We had to wrap in towels while our jeans dried off!
Fortunately before this wet spell we did get some lovely walks in to enjoy the colour changes.
This week at FOSTV we are celebrating autumn, fall and harvest and there is a cute set which relates to harvest for one lucky participant called Corn Ears.
Thank you for visiting and please drop by the rest of the FOSTV team's blogs to see their cards in all their glory.

You can double your chances of winning by using Marks Finest Papers stamps but if you don't have any please play along just the same.
My card this week focuses more on the harvest side of things and uses the set called No Sour Grapes along with the leaves from Autumn Splendor. The little acorn charm is also from MFP. The edge was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch.

High Hopes Challenge 190 - Give Thanks
I played along with a sketch challenge presented by High Hopes (Challenge 188) just over a week ago and I was lucky enough to be chosen as the winner. I won a choice of stamp and was invited to be a guest for this week's challenge. The
challenge theme is: Give Thanks (either a Thanksgiving card or a "Thank You"
card).
I used a VLV sketch for this Thank You card - week 2 for October. The image is called Hay Ride and I coloured it with Prismacolor Pencils.
The High Hopes blog can be found here and the new challenge is 190. Thanks for visiting.

FOSTV94 - Tags and Banners
I made two cards for Christmas for this challenge - one has a tag and uses VLVOctWeek1 sketch and the other card features a banner.
This first card with the banner uses the sets Tailgate Party for the banner and the snowman from Snow Gifts. I used Copics for colouring and plenty of glitter.
My second card uses Wise Men the mini set you get free if you buy the 4 main new sets released this month. You can check out the offer here. The snowflake was cut from fancy vellum using a Spellbinders die. Scattered Straw distress ink was used round the edges of most layers. This one uses the VLV October week 1 sketch.
Thank you for coming over. Please check out the projects my friends in the team have posted too. Have a great week.

Huge blooms is my favourite set this month and I have used it in a few different ways.
On this first card I sponged the background using distress inks and a stencil. The leaves were die cut and sponged. I stamped the largest flower twice and trimmed one so I could layer them.
This last card uses distress inks again - Faded Jeans this time. The image was stamped with Faded Jeans and then watercoloured with a Faded Jeans re-inker. The sentiment is also stamped in Faded Jeans and a few blue gems randomly added.

Today I have cards made with the Panda set to show you and some I made with this month's 5th set.
These are the two cards I made with the Panda set. The second card just uses the bamboo emblem from the set with the greeting from Lotus Blossoms. I stamped directly on a piece of oriental paper that was in one of my scrap trays. I used two different embossing powders for this simple card.

My cards for today's set "I am thankful" are using the same image but one is a girl and one is a boy! I have left off any sentiments so I can use them as the need arises. I like quite a few sentiments in the set so I can see one of those being added in due course.

High Hopes Sketch Challenge
Sorry 4 posts in one day - yes I know a little crazy!
This card is one I promised myself I would do. I love playing with the High Hopes challenges and haven't done so for a while so this week I said I would - almost didn't make it but here is my card for this week's sketch challenge
My card is coloured with Copics and uses some paper from my Christmas scraps drawer so I can't tell you whose it is. I use a Cuttlebug strip on the green horizontal piece and fluffy stuff on Santa.
Thanks for checking this out.

I have 4 cards to show you with this set. 3 are very simple - all embossed with gold and just mounted differently. The textured cardstock was a bad idea with embossing powder.
My last card was done with Gelatos and I think this is more how I might use this set again.
