MFP Blog Hop Preview Day

Tomorrow is the start of Marks Finest Papers June Blog Hop and today we are previewing the Mini and Special sets.

The special stamp set this month is: "You Are an Angel"

The mini stamp set this month is "Wings"

I used some of the Christmas items from the special set to make these cards - the first 3 of which are  coloured with Copics.  I used Spellbinders dies for the shapes and the last one uses a Spellbinders angel which I have had for ages.

I used the Wings set to create this butterfly

FOSTV76 - Get Well Card

Hi - thanks for coming to visit my blog.

My card today features a new bear being launched by Marks Finest Papers this week as part of the June stamps.
I have chosen today to colour him/her for a get well card and not as a patriotic all American bear!  As well as using the new set featured on Thursday I have also used a flower and sentiment from the Glad Glads set.

The FOSTV challenge this week is to make a Get Well card and there is a lovely little stamp set as a prize - do join in - you have nothing to lose.

There are also more prizes up for grabs at the various MFP challenges as well as in this week's Blog Hop.  Please come back later and also each day this week to see all the new goodies.

Need for Speed

This card combines a few challenges

Penny Black and More - CAS
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Masculine
Less is More - Single Layer with them Need for Speed
JUGS - Use Washi tape

I have used a Penny Black Christmas stamp but given the dogs crazy party hats.  If you have missed a Birthday you certainly need to get a move on and get the card out hence my thoughts behind this one!  I didn't think I had any Washi tape and then I remembered I bought a reel of what might be Washi tape when we went to MN and my friend told me it was the in thing - It has been in the drawer ever since!!  Now having used it I think I might like some others colours and designs.

The card base has a pearly sheen to it so colouring was a little difficult and getting a photo too so please excuse the quality of both.

Thank you so much for checking this out.  Enjoy the coming week.

The Colour of my Front Door

Yes I know that is a strange title to my post but the colour challenge at Less is More is exactly that!

Our front door is very boring - it is white with rectangular glass panels.  Often hanging on it I have a red wreath - Poinsettias near Christmas and Roses the rest of the time - except now when one on my roses keeps falling apart and despite numerous glue attempts it will not stay put.  I decided not to bore you with the photo and as it is now dark outside you would not be very impressed so here is my card.

The inside features Ice Cream because at this time of year you are likely to come across my husband inside eating ice cream - working from home on a hot day seems to bring the urge on!

The sentiment especially added for the recipient is "stressed spelt backwards is desserts!" - I bet that isn't in her manual.  The stamps inside are from Woodware and are designed by Jane Gill.  The thank you on the front is from Verve.

High Hopes Stamps With The Dragon

These two challenges just happened to gel together so I am sharing this card with you and entering it into this week's High Hopes Challenge and also the Stampin with the Dragon challenge.  I find it quite amusing that I chose a High Hopes dragon for my card and layered it onto a tag for the Stampin with the Dragon challenge without really thinking about the image!!!  I would like to suggest it was planned but it wasn't.

The card is actually being sent as a Thank You after a BBQ Party on 25th May - better late than never!  The card also probably fits the Ribbon Carousel challenge this month - Fun in the Sun as the sun did shine that afternoon even though it was a little chilly.

This week has been gorgeous here in the UK and I hope even if the sun isn't shining on you that you are having a good week.

FOSTV75 - Vacation

Happy Monday to you. At last the sun is shining in the UK and some people may be thinking about holidays and getting a break.  In the USA the children are already out of school for the summer but as we all know there are at least 6 more weeks to go here - here's hoping the teachers have the resources both mental and physical to cope until then.

Today's challenge at FOSTV is to make a card or project relating to holidays (aka vacations).  Most of you will probably think of summer breaks in the country or by the sea but some may think about winter or city breaks or indeed holidays at home. I went for the easy option a palm tree against the sunset - one of my favourite times - sunset, especially on a beautiful beach.

The card uses 3 MFP sets
Flamingos on Vacation
In My Den
Scenic Selections

We would love you to join our challenge so please do check it out here - it will be challenge 75.  There will be a prize (Corn Ears Mini) for one lucky participant so it is certainly worth having a go!

See you soon.

Sketch N Stash 114

Why is it some weeks you see challenges, you intend to do them and then the week just vanishes.  I almost didn't get this one done, finished it this morning.  The image is from Flonz a company in New Zealand and this is its first inking.  It was part of a little prize I won recently and is coloured with Copics.

The papers are from my tray but as they were just odd pieces I cannot tell you the make.  I used a border punch for my white edge (sorry you have to look hard!) and a Spellbinders die to cut the daisy strip.

The sun is shining here so I need to get my washing out and get on with my day.  God bless your Sunday.
