A High Hopes card to wish Katie well for her driving lessons and for getting a car so she can take young Bradley to school. A really good reason to get that test done and behind you!
The car is coloured with Copics and paper pieced.

FOSTV122 - Use Vellum
It's Monday again - where is this year going? It is May this week - yikes!
Today is a special day - my sister Angela's birthday - Happy Birthday sis!
At FOSTV this week we are using Vellum. Now you can certainly go for more vellum than I did - all I could find were a few scraps in my scrap tray. The little butterfly is stamped onto vellum as is the sentiment.
Please play along with our challenge and have a great week. There is a prize for one entrant.

Floating - VLVApr Week1 and Penny Black Cat
I wanted to join this month's Penny Black challenge to include a dog or cat on your card. I am a "doggy person" but I do like the Penny Black cats so that is what I ended up with on my card.
I used another VLV sketch and colour scheme. The flower is dark grey but it actually looks black. I photographed it from a variety of angles but it still looked darker than it really is. The image, from one of the clear sets, is coloured with pencils.
Hope your weekend does not float by too quickly.

VLVApr2014 Butterflies
The inspiration picture and sketch from VLVApr2014 Week 3 led to this card below. It wasn't where I was originally going but the lettering on the wall reminded me of wings. The colours are inspired by the photo too, but using the papers I had to hand. That background is dark BLUE.
Here are the inspiration and sketch
Birthday Sack
I used VLV April Week 2 sketch to decorate this sack, deviating from the sketch a little to keep in with the waves theme. All the blue card was from my scraps tray - yeah!
I wanted to recycle the tissue and cellophane from my Easter flowers but sticking / stitching the layers wasn't quite as straightforward as I hoped and in all my efforts I forgot to stamp my greeting until it was assembled which made this less accurate. Hey we live and learn!
Images are from Verve and colouring was done with Copics. I used some nice sparkly embossing powder from Stampendous on the stamped wave.
The sack contains a small gift as part of my sister's Birthday present.
Thanks for looking - enjoy the weekend.

April 22- Flowers With Watercolors
April 23-Stand By Your Man Explosion Card
April 24-Holidays Candy Holder
Sample by Vickie
I took the opportunity to make a bag to hold some lovely Cadbury's mini crème eggs. I pulled out the Daffodil Greetings and He is Risen sets and then realised I had no paper bags to decorate other than some large brown coloured ones which were far too big. I therefore resorted to making a version with some DP which started as 6" by 12". The chocolate inside was the main concern for this recipient!!!

FOSTV121 - Waterfall Card
I am never too sure about making fancy fold cards as sometimes I have a nightmare but our challenge this week is Waterfall cards so I took the 'bull by the horns' and made this one which I actually quite like. It uses a selection of Marks Finest Papers butterflies
You can find a tutorial on Splitcoast here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/waterfall_card/
We would love you to join in our challenge and make your own waterfall card - the challenge can be found here and there is a prize for one lucky participant.
