My card uses the duck and one sentiment from the set. I added Koi fish to "my water", which was made with ink applied to an embossing folder.
This is the inside with the small duck and a sentiment from the Cranes set.
Very cute, Janine. I love the Koi Pond you made for your duck.
ReplyDeleteSweet card!!!
ReplyDeleteJan
I love how you colored that sweet little duck with the shadowing!
ReplyDeleteThe pond is a great addition to this! Good job!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! What a superb idea for water! It's brilliant! What a lovely cheery card! But maybe not quite for now with all the flooding...only the ducks are liking it!

ReplyDeleteFun card! I like the swirled torn paper for water!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I've been a pretty bad DT sister, and I've procrastinated in commenting on all your beautiful creations from last week's blog hop. I did want you to know that I've come by to see all your goodies and just wanted you to know how great I think they all are! I absolutely love what you did on your Foo Dog card. I was finding that a hard stamp set to use, so using the sentiment was pretty smart! Your Birds of the Orient card is very cool. I really like orange and blue together, and that punch or die that you used is so pretty. I am absolutely in love with your Birdcages card. The gilding on the cage really sets the whole thing off. I was struggling with how to stamp the cage, not realizing that it didn't seem right because it wasn't looking like metal. Yours is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour Medallion cards are awesome. I didn't realize you could use different colored embossing powders over each other. I always thought after you embossed with the first color, that when you went back to heat the second color, it would re-melt the first one and you would just have a big mess. I'm glad it works though so thank you for showing it. I also never thought of masking and then embossing. Your second card uses all sorts of different techniques, and I love it. I also love the way you use the die cuts to look like little brackets. Your Fairy cards are so cute! I think that was my favorite stamp set this time around. I love the punches and fancy edges you used on both of them. It really sets the images off. Your duck card is so adorable! I think I have that same embossing folder that never thought to use it for water. And the fish are an awesome added touch. Great job!
