This is my second post for today so if you want to see my Friends of Speedy TV post for this week's challenge please skip down to the post below. Thank you.
I love working for Marks Finest Papers Design teams and as I work with their stamps so often they are fresh in my mind. Today I decided to go back to some simple stamping and break out some other stamps that I have that get neglected. The flower images are from Elusive Images and the sentiments are from a thank you set I have had for many years - no name any more!
The simple cards are going to my Mother In Law so she can thank for her Christmas gifts.
Thank you for looking.

Thank You Carol
This little card is for the 2 little ones next door who came visiting just before Christmas to deliver Chocolates and sing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer to us. Well actually only the oldest came with Mum as her little sister was crying inside their house!
It is very sparkly with glitter on the snow, glitter paper and some gems. I have used the sketch from SC412 and will be entering it in this month's Penny Black challenges - Allsorts and the original Saturday Challenge

Good Friends and Good Times
Before Christmas I went to Devon to see a friend and have a few days R&R. Having left my job and being in the middle of working out what next it was great to receive an invitation for a few days away. Scarily we first met about 37 years ago!
Now anyone who lives in the UK or has heard anything about the weather here will know just how wet 2012 has been. Devon and the West Country generally have taken an absolute hammering and the little town where my friend lives has had its fair share of issues. The river has burst its banks more than a few times, chunks of the cliff have dropped off and the sea defences have to be improved. Despite the problems the people of the town put a brave face on things and are extremely friendly. We managed to get out all the days I was there and had a lovely time. I also managed to get a lot of last month's blog hop cards done and my friend progressed her knitting. We also went to see the Hobbit in the local cinema on its release night in the UK.
This card is the one I sent to say thanks - she had to photograph it though as I forgot before sending it - what a friend! I used a card and technique on Papercraft Planet as my inspiration along with the colours of her beautiful lounge. The paper is Basic Grey and the snowflake is cut with my Cricut.
Thank you for checking in. Have a great weekend.

Nappy Treats!
The folder is a diaper or nappy fold and there is a tutorial over at Speedy TV which can be found here. If you are quick you can join this week's Tutorial Time challenge.
I made these for Christmas Day for the table and each one holds a couple of chocolate coins. The paper size was 6" x 6". I made them last minute so they have no stamping, just a simple die cut (Cricut) and gem on each. They were well received.
Hope you and yours had a lovely celebration yesterday.

Christmas Eve - FOSTV52
Hello and Happy Christmas to all of you and your families.
Today we have another FOSTV challenge and if you find a few spare minutes over the festive period then we would love you to play along. Our challenge is to make a card or project that shows the Cracked Glass technique - you can find a tutorial here.
I should have used less embossing powder on my first card, which I have described as Broken Ice. I first used some sparkly powder and then 3 layers of UTEE which is too much so it cracked a lot, had to be re-heated but still cracked too much! The stamp set I have used for the image is called Ice and Snow - this is also the set one person will win as part of this challenge.
My second card uses one layer of UTEE and then some fine embossing powder - two or three layers. I prefer this one and the vintage look it has.
Thanks for checking in today and enjoy some family time over Christmas. God bless.

The challenge at Our Creative Corner is Silver and Purple Christmas this week. I used alcohol inks, Spellbinders dies, my Cricut, some ribbon, some gems and a sentiment from Marks Finest Papers on this card. It has been hand delivered today. You cannot see the lovely alcohol ink effect so well in this photo but it is quite pretty in real life.
Thank you so much for looking, and even more for leaving a sweet comment.

I don't tend to share recipes, give food items etc. so I found today's set quite a challenge. I have one item to show you which is a book for collecting recipes, either written in or stuck in, just a place for keeping them all together. I think I know who is going to get this in their Christmas goodies.

I have paired the sentiment from this month's mini set, Recipe Completer with a delicious cake from Celebrate Big. The new sets are being released tomorrow so do pop back to see the team's work with them and have the chance of winning a set.
FOSTV51 - Happy Holidays
Good morning to you.
I am sorry I am going to moan to start with today. I hate the saying "Happy Holidays" which people have started using in the UK to avoid offence. Saying Happy Christmas is not seen to be politically correct!
We are a country still aligned to the Church so it is Happy Christmas and that is what I wish for you all.
Anyway today's challenge, number 51 at Friends of Speedy TV, is to make a Holiday card so mine is a simple Christmas card just using the sentiment from Poinsettia Blooms and my Cricut.
We hope you join our challenge this week, despite all the busy days right now and also that you join us this week for our Blog Hop which starts tomorrow. There is a stamp set to be won by one person playing along this week at FOSTV and a chance to win the new sets by commenting on the blog hop posts.
Thanks for reading and once again Happy Christmas.

Gift Card Box - Snowlady
Marks Finest Papers Blog Hop is next week so I have a few things in the pipeline but the only thing I have to share with you right now is a box that I have prepared to hold the gift card I have bought for my niece for Christmas.
I have used the Snowlady from the Marks Finest Papers set called Holly Jolly Greetings and I have die cut snowflakes using Memory Box and Spellbinders dies.
The box was in my stash, not doing anything so I am glad I have been able to re-use it.
I am entering this project in the Sentimental Sundays challenge.

FOSTV50 - Christmas Project
Challenge number fifty for this year - where has the year gone? We are into the Christmas swing here at Friends of Speedy TV with Christmas Cards last week and Christmas Projects this week. We would love to see what you make - don't forget to post your link over at the challenge 50 page.
I have a few things to show you - firstly some little tags I have made using Christmas Selections.
I also have a solo candle that I decorated with the Poinsettia from Poinsettia Blooms - simple but quite effective with the cream candle and red saucer.
My last item is a tray of candles I have decorated and will go on my dining table over the Christmas period. The candles are from Ikea and actually came as a set. The red saucer came from B&Q last year. The holly round the bottom is made using the Cricut and the MFP stamp sets I used are called Poinsettia Blooms and Christmas Selections.
Well that is it from me today. Don't forget to play along - you could win the Christmas Selections set that I have used

Christmas is fast approaching
I was writing our Christmas cards and I realised I did not have one suitable for my Nephew.
He is the one that supports Fulham Football club, hence the very non-traditional colours of black and white.
The stamped image is from High Hopes and the other elements were die cut using my new Cricut whch I am still learning to use.
I am entering this card for 3 challenges
Jugs165 - Sketch challenge
High Hopes Challenge 158 - Anything High Hopes
Sentimental Sundays 131 - Non Traditional Christmas Colours
Thanks for looking. Hope you are having a good week.

FOSTV49 - Christmas Card
Happy Monday to you. We are into Advent now and Christmas will be upon us before we know it. I started writing our cards last night and I think I now have enough made - two of them are shown here as today's FOSTV challenge is Christmas cards. We would love you to join our challenge and the prize set for one lucky entrant is Christmas Greetings. It is a lovely set so worth getting your creative juices flowing for!
My 1st card uses the window from Enjoy the View, the tree from Tree Selections (I think) and the brick from Brick Wall Mini. I used acetate for the window and embroidery silk plus gems on the tree.
My second card uses an embossing folder for the brick work, my Cricut for the stockings, a punch for the garland and MFP sets called Christmas Selections and Holly Jolly Greetings. I hope you like these two.
Please check out the other FOSTV team members blogs and also the challenge on Friends of Speedy TV. Have a great week.

High Hopes Projects
Last week's High Hopes challenge was to make a Gift Box/Bag gift card holder. Daring Cardmakers challenge is to make something with a "fun element".
To meet both these challenges I made this Advent card which has a little container to go with it containing the 24 decorations for the tree. The card is a thank you to my work colleagues for my wonderful leaving gift of a Cricut machine. As you can see I used the Cricut for the card and the little baubles with the High Hopes image gracing the pot to hold the baubles, which all have sticky foam on the back ready for attaching to the tree.
My second project is just for the High Hopes challenge - a gift box I made for Mum to choose for one of her gifts. She has lots of people helping her out these days and this box holds a lovely scented candle in the shape of a pine cone.
Thanks for looking. Hope you are having a great weekend and enjoying the Christmas preparations - Happy Advent.
