Tempus Fugit

Does anyone else feel a little odd when the clocks change?  We got an extra hour last night when the clocks went back but today my body clock has been totally confused!  It was very apt when the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge today was about time.  The passage actually contradicts my sentiment which says time flies and says God gives us all the time we need - "To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven".

I went with the flow and this masculine card was what I came up with.  I used a clocks mask, an embossing folder with cogs and a clock face plus two stamps.  The plane image is from Katzelkraft and the pocket watch and saying "Tempus Fugit" were a free gift with Craft Stamper magazine some time ago.  I used Antique Linen and Aged Mahogany distress inks plus Memento Espresso Truffle.

Thanks for looking and have a great week.

  1. Hi Janine: This is absolutely beautiful. I love the textures and the rich inking affect. You've got a great style, and I enjoy it.

I host the Sketch With a Twist Challenge on Speedy TV if you ever get an itch to play along there (I know you're on the SDT but I'd still love having you play along. Also, I have another challenge blog called Word Art Wednesday, which is the official "sister site" to Stampin' Sisters in Christ. Your sweet art would be SO perfect for our challenges there, and you're welcome to link up ANY of your art with us. I'd love to see you play along there as well. The more, the merrier - that's my philosophy. I love meeting new blog friends and gaining inspiration wherever I can. I'd love to see more of your work and really do hope you will stop by to check us out.
    Have a blessed week!

  2. Janine, this is amazing. I love all the wonderful texture on your card. I really like how you have the plane image embossed. Tempus fugit makes me think of the Alice in Wonderland Kids theatre production that my boys were in. The white rabbit kept saying tempus fugit. Try explaining that to 5-7th graders. Thanks for sharing your wonderful time card with the stampin' sisters in Christ Challenge!
