Another Thank You

Don't forget there is still time to enter Marks Finest Papers Friends of Speedy TV challenge to make a Thank You card.  Next week  is also Blog Hop week with more new sets being released so keep an eye out for our posts and prizes.

This card does not use MFP stamps but it is on the right theme.  Is is another simple thank you card that I need to get written and sent.

It has turned cold and damp here in the UK so wherever you are stay warm and dry.

Chocolate Baroque Christmas Card

Chocolate Baroque are a stamp company I discovered in late 2011 / early 2012 and they make some gorgeous stamps and some really big stamps too.  More recently Craft Stamper magazine gave away one of their snowflake stamps and then I bought another set as a result - one expensive magazine!  I wanted to save the image, that I loved most, to use on hubbies card and it was the last card I made - maybe one day I will make his first! I am going to use the image (last picture) on a few 2013 cards.

Well in all the Christmas rush I forgot to photograph it so now having sat on the window sill for a few weeks I am sharing a few pictures of his card which is a little battered.

FOSTV54 - Thank You card

Well I don't know about you but I have quite a few Thank You's I need to write after Christmas. We never take our tree down on 12th night - only when all the gifts are gone and I make mine last - LOL!!!  I need at least 9 or 10 thank you cards so I have two to share with you today as part of this week's Friends of Speedy TV challenge - we would love you to join in too.  Even if you have been super efficient and done all your Christmas Thank You cards you are going to need another for something else soon!

My first card uses an Inchie on a Twinchie surrounded by some glitter.  I have used the small poinsettia from Christmas Selections and the Thank You from Nature's Pansies Mini.   

 
My second card, again with glitter, uses the sets called Just a Note and Peaceful Nuthatch, a beautiful set.

Speedy Challenges

Hi - its rather late on a Sunday night UK time but I am quickly posting 2 cards I have made for challenges on Speedy TV.  I don't often have chance to play with the other team's challenges but today I played both the Sketch with a Twist and Simple Salutations challenges.  The Simple Salutations one I teamed with the Jugs170 sketch posted this week.


On this card I used Marks Finest Papers butterflies (yes I have a few!) but the sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque.  I have "stretched" the sketch a bit but I did stick with the colours of black, white and silver.

On this card I used a Marks Finest Papers sentiment and and image from Inkadinkado - this is going to hubby on his Birthday later in the month and we had a Golden Retriever so had to use the right sort of cute puppy!

OLW - Enjoy the beauty

One Layer Wednesday challenge from last week is to make a card that represents what you do on a snowy day. 
Now where I live in the UK we don't get many snowy days but what I do love to do if I get the chance is appreciate the quietness and the beauty.  When we were in MN with friends for Christmas 2010 I got to do exactly that  - this was a gorgeous day by the St Croix River.

My card whilst not with the same intensity of blue sky, and with the addition of some deer is a little reminder of that time.  The image is from Hero Arts and the sentiment from Marks Finest Papers.

I hope you can stop and take the time to enjoy the beauty of something today.  God bless.

Welcome Hope

Hope - what a beautiful name for a baby born at this time of year, in fact any time of year.  This card is for Hope's family - Mum, Dad and brothers and sisters.  I have used the sketch VLVJan2013 Week2, with this week's OCC colours and I am also entering this in this week's Twist of Faith challenge.  The stamps are from Verve, old ones but still very cute.

Happy New Year - 2013 is here!

Big Ben has sounded and the fireworks over Big Ben, the London Eye and the Thames looked fantastic so 2013 is officially here - Happy New Year.

I made this card today - one of my own "thank you" cards and I am entering it in the Twist of Faith card challenges no 17.  The challenge is white and gold and even though this does not contain any scripture I hope it counts.

I hope you know God's peace and happiness in this New Year.
