Last night I received a text cancelling this morning's lessons because my students grandma had been taken very ill and was at the A&E department. Exactly one month after my Mum had been taken ill so I really felt for them all. Thankfully they have got her health under control so I was able to make this little get well card using the PowerPoppy shabby chic challenge.
The image is a digital one from PowerPoppy and I used Victorian Velvet distress ink along with Copic White and Copic Markers to create this card. The embossed panel is made with a Sizzix folder and was a gift from Angie. I actually had to invest in that folder as it is part of a pack of two lovely ones.
Here is a slightly closer view of the image.
Here's to improved health all round and a good week.

Janine, this is so beautiful! I love the distressing! Gorgeous image and so beautifully colored! The embossed layer looks so pretty and I love the fibers! I am sure you received a jolt hearing of the grandma's illness. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful with the image on the rosy background. Love the ink smudged embossing, too. It makes a lovely get well card. Thank you for sharing it in our Shabby & Chic Challenge at Power Poppy.
ReplyDeleteSo soft and soothing. A beautiful get well card. Thanks for playing in our Chic and Shabby challenge this month.
