Worms for the Girls

Pulled out some more feminine colours and papers to make bookworm cards for my girl students just about to do exams.  They use the same High Hopes image as in yesterday's post.

I hope they like them.

High Hopes 219 - Double Trouble

I made these for my students who have their Maths exams on June 9th and 13th.  I need more but this is a start.  I am entering these in the High Hopes Double Trouble challenge.
Two the same are in red, but I also made one in blue for a student who would not appreciate red!

FOSTV126 - Use Flowers

It is a grey and wet Monday here in the UK - it must be a Bank Holiday!

Yes it is the last Bank Holiday until August and it is miserable.  I am tutoring a good part of the day so other that trying to keep my exam papers dry the rain isn't too much of an issue.

My project for FOSTV 126 is actually a box rather than a card - another made for my sister's Birthday.  She liked it and so do I.  It would brighten any grey day I believe.  I have stamped using an MFP flower stamp and added additional small flowers.  Please join in our FOSTV challenge this week - most people like flowers so it should be an easy one to do.

Simple Penny Black Card

Today I am trying to be creative after a bit of a week.  Printer errors turned from bad to worse and lead to eventual replacement, not great when you are a tutor and exams are a few weeks away.  Added to that Mum had to go to X-ray - 2nd week running and I am tired so getting organised is a struggle.

Anyway I want to start my creative session with something simple - a single layer card using  a Penny Black stamp - the challenge is your favourite - one favourite - joke!  This stamp I just had to have so it is definitely one of my favourites.  Today I stamped it in Memento Express Truffle and added coloured with Gelatos and a finger or two - messy but fun!  A simple border using my Scorpal and a sentiment from Marks Finest Papers.  Done!

I am entering this one in the May Penny Black challenge and in the One Layer Simplicity challenge too.

FOSTV125 - Gift Bag

Hello it is Monday again and that means a new FOSTV challenge.  FOSTV 125 challenge is to make a gift bag and here is mine.  Some careful edge punching, folding, die cutting and colouring and this is the result.  My sister loved it but it is her colours and mine to be honest!

The sentiment is sparkly and looks nicer in real life.

 

Tried to avoid adding too much dimension but I think the oval should have been mounted on foam dots.  The envelopes that go with these card bases are very tight fitting which is annoying when you want white space! The butterflies are sparkly too!

I die cut into the wood background and also orange card and this is how the next two cards came into being.  On the first card I used some adhesive ribbon and on the 2nd card I used a black die cut and outline stickers in sparkly black too.
