For this week's challenge I did something I hadn't done for a while - I pulled out my brass stencils and chose a flower stencil to emboss. I nearly pulled down my light box but I went for the lazy method by running it through my Grand Calibur and then going over with the stylus. I used Pan Pastels to add the colour. I also used my die cutting machine to emboss the left border which was a scrap from my tray and to cut and emboss my sentiment. The right edge was punched. The Marks Finest Papers set is on my Mother's Day Sentiment and uses the set called Mother's Magnolias.
A look at the detail
Mothering Sunday, or Mother's Day, is traditionally a day to visit your mother church. It is now an occasion to bring gifts to your own Mother and it is celebrated three weeks before Easter. This year it falls on March 30th.
Please join in our dry embossing challenge over at FOSTV this week. Thank you for visiting.
