It is a new week and the sun is still shining so it is time for an appropriate challenge at Friends of Speedy TV - this week the challenge is Summer Fun.
I had some fun making this card and also some frustration - several attempts hit the bin!
Mixed Media is very popular right now so I tried to have a go with what I had on hand and am entering this into this weeks JUGS challenge.
The attempts with masking tape were binned and I don't have anything else like that to try so I just used distress inks (sea and sky), acrylic paint (fluffy white clouds), stencil with a spray ink (palm silhouette), ric-rac ribbon (sea edge) and some glitter (sand). The stamps I used are from the Marks Finest Papers set called I Need a Vacation. I think there are many people who would agree with that sentiment particularly all those teachers finishing this Friday.
Here is a close up of my card - acrylic paint clouds, stencilled palm tree behind the stamped one and ric rac edged sea.
Please play along with our Summer Fun challenge - you can find it here and the prize for one particpant this week is a cute little tree set called Tree Selections.
Have a great week.
Janine
