FOSTV 35 - Labor Day

It is Monday again and here in the UK it is a Bank Holiday.  This is our last Bank Holiday before Christmas and traditionally one for getting out and about, although the British weather does not always play along!

This week we want you to play along with the latest Friends of Speedy TV challenge with a chance to win another Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Company stamp set - the set this time is called Fabulous Dogs - a fun set to have in your collection.  Please go to the page I have linked and check out challenge 35.

The challenge this week is to make a Labor Day card - I had to look it up and this was the card I came up with, using the mini set called Gullible, but the other designers have done all sorts of different things so you may want to check out their blogs too.

Sorry I have been so quiet lately - been colouring quite a few images but not made any cards.  We have also been busy getting my Mother in Law into a Care Home for a short stay.

Thank you for looking and we would love to see what you create for this week's challenge.

  1. Great choices of stamps for your card. Enjoy your holiday!

  2. Very cool card Janine!! I love the pelican image, the little door to open and the perfect saying for Labor Day :)

  3. Cute card, Janine. The sentiment is soooo true. Enjoy your day.

  4. Love the fun fold with the flap! Oh boy do I hear you about your Mother In Law. I hope your mother in law is doing well. My mother in law just came out of the hospital and is now in a rehabilitation center (what I imagine a Care Center might be) until she can return home.

  5. Oh Janine! I came so close to using that stamp set. It's the perfect sentiment for a holiday!!!! I love your fold!!! Great card!

  6. Janine,
I love this set - and your card is wonderful!! And, the fold is very cool. I hope things for smoothly with your MIL.

I love to hear your thoughts - please come back soon.
