I don't try watercolouring very often as it is not my forte but I gave it a go for the blending challenge at One Layer Simplicity Challenge. I blended two shades of red and two shades of green distress inks as well as the markers I originally stamped in to colour my tulip. I let it dry before doing the background but the colours ran none the less. I didn't add a sentiment because I am not sure where it is going right now.
Thanks for checking this out. Hope spring is heading your way.

Another Christmas Card - High Hopes Snowman
I don't normally work on coloured cardstock when stamping but as this is a single layer card I decided to do something different.
The High Hopes image was stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. I then used Prismacolor pencils to colour him in. I created the snow at the bottom with my Versamark pen and more white embossing powder. I then framed the other 3 sides with sticky ribbon trying to keep it even and therefore a square. The snowflakes are stickers and the large ones have pearl centres. The holly on the snowman's hat has red pearl berries.
I love the High Hopes snowmen and this one I have had for quite a while.

Simple Penny Black Card
Today I am trying to be creative after a bit of a week. Printer errors turned from bad to worse and lead to eventual replacement, not great when you are a tutor and exams are a few weeks away. Added to that Mum had to go to X-ray - 2nd week running and I am tired so getting organised is a struggle.
Anyway I want to start my creative session with something simple - a single layer card using a Penny Black stamp - the challenge is your favourite - one favourite - joke! This stamp I just had to have so it is definitely one of my favourites. Today I stamped it in Memento Express Truffle and added coloured with Gelatos and a finger or two - messy but fun! A simple border using my Scorpal and a sentiment from Marks Finest Papers. Done!
I am entering this one in the May Penny Black challenge and in the One Layer Simplicity challenge too.
Have a great weekend.

Rainbow Christmas
A quick card made using rainbow colours for Christmas 2014. I know it includes traditional Christmas colours but to me it is still non-traditional and is going into my CCC14 pot for February.
It is a one layer repeating card in rainbow colours so I am entering it for One-Layer Simplicity Challenge #2 and for Less is More.
If you have rain may you also see rainbows.

CCC14 - January
I don't know what the people in the Sutton shops thought of me today when I popped in to sort a few things, because there were specs of glitter all over my face. I washed and brushed at them but all I seemed to do was move them from one place to another. These 10 Christmas cards - my January set for CCC14 are the reason why.
The theme is Peace and seeing a dog and cat so content together knowing how Mum's dog races after every cat is a great example of peace to me.
I kept them to one layer so I am also entering them in the One Layer Simplicity challenge and Word Art Wednesday.
Thanks for looking and I hope the golden glow from my cards makes some of you suffering in the cold feel a little warmer.
