Feb Christmas Cards

I have just managed to get my 13 cards done for the month of February.  They are a real mixed bag.   Some include pieces from my class at MCC on stamping techniques and clearly show some better than others.  Other cards include images I coloured and needed to get onto finished cards.  I am going to put them in one long post with a caption on each one.

Resist Technique with sentiment rather too bold
 - image stamp from Chocolate Baroque.

Resist Technique rather lost in the inks
 - same Chocolate Baroque image

Resist Technique - as I hoped using Chocolate Baroque image

Resist Batique Technique - colour applied
 - another Chocolate Baroque image
MFP stamps onto ink stained card (distress and glimmer mists)
MFP stamps onto ink stained card - masked Poinsettia

Men and their football teams!

Today I have two cards to share with you both for guys.  Before I get to them though I wanted to comment on this week's Marks Finest Papers Blog Hop - wasn't it a great one?  The hummingbird was definitely my favourite set this month and now we have lovely new watermarks for our MFP cards.

Both today's cards use VLVFeb2013 sketches.

I used VLVFeb2013 Week1 sketch for this card and lots of masking. I am doing a stamping techniques class at MCC and this week we are doing masking and layering of stamps - this is my first go and is called Blue is the Colour - some of you will know the team supported!  I used stamps from Do Crafts, Stampin Up, two from magazines and a mask to add the spots.

Blue is the Colour

My second card uses the VLVFeb2013 Week2 sketch, lots of embossing and a little stamping using the sentiment from MFP Cracked Hello.

Penny Black Scene

Challenging times trying to tun my PB image into a scene for the challenge this week.  I loved the scenic Stamping class at MCC with Sandy Hulsart but I am not sure my little chap looks quite right on a serious background!  I think maybe some paper-pieced hills behind him and some ice using glitter might have been better but I think it is OK.
